US singer Cher attended a hearing on whether to modify helmets for US soldiers in Iraq at a House Armed Services subcommittee, in Washington on Thursday. Cher has donated more than 130,000 US Dollars to the group Operation Helmet, which pays about 100 US Dollars to modify the inside of soldiers’ helmets to make them better able to absorb shock from a bomb blast.
